Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I’m a good fit for this program?
1
Sarcolink programs will benefit you if you experience challenges with balance and walking that cause you to fall frequently or feel anxiety about falling. If these problems get worse throughout the day or as you get tired, our programs are especially impactful. We frequently work with individuals affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke, or deficits caused by long hospital stay following immobilizing injuries like hip or leg fractures.
Not sure? Reach out, and we can help you figure out if it's the right match.
Do you accept insurance?
2
Yes! Sarcolink programs are delivered in partnership with a physiotherapy clinic and a dedicated physiotherapist works with our team. Check with your provider to confirm your specific coverage.
What results can I expect, and how soon?
3
Every program is personalized, so results vary by individual and the underlying cause of the balance and walking challenges that our program is attempting to address. Scientific evidence indicates that focusing on balance for 8-12 weeks makes the greatest impact. However, many of our clients notice increased strength, endurance, and confidence in their balance as early as 3 weeks into our program.
What happens if I miss a session?
4
Life happens! We're happy to reschedule, and every package includes a built-in backup week, so you can schedule up to 3 sessions even after your package is complete.
How are Sarcolink programs different from other physiotherapy treatment?
5
Our programs are “volume-focused,” which means that we ensure that you receive enough targeted movement training to re-build capacity (strength and endurance) and re-gain the confidence to rely on it and fully exploit your progress. We use therapist-guided balance training techniques, muscle activation feedback, and weight-distribution feedback to maximize the amount of impactful training that can be fit into each session.
Do I need a referral?
6
No referral needed!
